Kaupeka Movies in Week 2 of Holidays

These holidays the Kaupeka teachers are going to the movies to watch Boss Baby, and would like to invite the students of the Kaupeka Hub to join us.

We will be going to see the movie at Reading Cinema, at 1 pm, on Monday 24 April, and will be booking tickets to ensure we are all able to all get seats together.

As we will need to know numbers to book, we are asking that anyone who is intending on coming book using this Google Form, by Friday 22 April.

Tickets are $11 and will need to be paid for on arrival (cash and exact amount preferable). If students are wanting to buy drinks and/or snacks they will need to bring additional money to purchase these.

Parents, siblings and friends are more than welcome to join us for the movie, please indicate this on the form if this is the case for your child.

For those who do come to the movie we will meet as a group at 12.20pm at the top of the escalator, pick up will be the same place at approximately 3pm.

If you have any questions please feel free to email

National Young Leaders Day

National Young Leaders Day is on Tuesday May 30th this year. It is a great event for our budding leaders in Year 8 to go to.

Information about the event can be found on this link.

The tickets cost $49 each and so this year we want to give you the choice as to whether you would like your child to attend. We will organise the transport and supervision on the day but at $49 per student we can not cover this cost.

If you wish for your child to go to this event please indicate this on the National Young Leaders Day Google Form. The cost will be added to your Term 2 account.

Kaupeka Camp Highlights - Glentui

The Kaupeka Team had an awesome time away on camp despite the miserable weather. We shared lots of laughs together, established great new friendships, enjoyed seconds and thirds for almost every meal and challenged ourselves during our daily activities. All adults on camp were so impressed with how our students overcame different obstacles and how everyone persevered in the rain with a positive attitude!

A big thank you to our wonderful parent helps (Jacinta, Jonathan, Julian and Blair) for helping to make our camp such a success! Thanks to all families for your delicious homemade baking - the leftovers will be shared with the Kaupeka Team throughout the last week of term.
